Candlewood Suites Sweet WOD

In Houston through Friday (again) so we're on our own.

Tabatas (8 rounds/exercise, :30 on, :10 off)

Yes, 30 seconds is a whole other thing isn't it?  Even if it takes you 2-3 seconds to get started after the ten seconds of rest you still have some major work to do!

1) jump rope (at least 10 dbl unders per round)
2) flutters
3) push-ups (15, 12, 12, 12, 10, 10, 9, 10)  I bruised my knee on my bike ride so going to knee-push-ups would have been more painful than just sticking to full push-ups
4) bicycles (burned out 2-3 times before the buzzer)
5) lunges (seem like rest)
6) burpees (don't seem like rest)
7) more jump rope

Gently go through tigers to warm down and review

  2. Oh, sorry, I thought 7 is what you had done; I was NOT trying to show you up. You did a real workout Sunday and I went for a bike ride. You've also been doing 30 second rounds for all that time I was doing 20-seconds! That's a whole new ball game.

I think the next workout is going to be something timed instead of a tabata. 50-40-30-20-10, perhaps, with dbl unders, push-ups, squats, and sit-ups? Could also just do 100 of each. I really want to be able to do 100 good push-ups straight through one of these days...

I can't remember what twilight of the legs and kung-fu fight gone bad were. I want to dust those off sometime soon.

  3. 100 good push-ups is a lofty goal! I would love to do the same. I a way off though.

Twilight of the legs was something like squats, Lunges, jumping lunges, frog leaps and jump rope.

IIRC Kung Fu fight gone bad was burpies,Sit-ups, Kettle Bells, push presses, squats and bag work.
